The Viaduct
The viaduct crossed the valley of the Ouse and was 255 yards long and 62 feet high on 22 arches. The embankments were formed from material extracted from the cuttings to the north and south. An estimated 3 million cubic yards of spoil was used. The viaduct was demolished in 1978 and part of the embankment remains. The Northern embankment can be seen from the Old Town to Turweston footpath.
